Indiana State University and their School of Medicine have developed an opportunity for students from rural Indiana. The Rural Health Scholarships offers students who have lived in a federally recognized rural area a chance to receive full in-state tuition to their Rural Health Program.

Qualified students should possess:
* at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
* score a 1200 SAT(combined critical reading and mathematics) or 1270 SAT (Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math) or a 27 ACT (composite)
* be a rural resident of Indiana
* a “Core 40” or other college-preparatory high school diploma
* and complete an interview.
This scholarship earns a medium competition level rating. Scholarships with a medium competition level usually are well-known within the geographic area. In addition, national scholarships that limited to a small group of students will also earn a medium competition rating. If you meet the requirements, we suggest you work this into the mix of scholarships that you are applying to.
