The Black Women Physicians Educational & Research Foundation invites first and second year minority female medical students to apply for the Dr. Rose M. Green Thomas Academic Medicine Scholarship Award.

This $1,000 tuition assistance scholarship is awarded annually to a qualified minority female medical student who pledges a medical career in Academic Medicine.
The following materials should be submitted by the applicant:
- A personal statement outlining the applicant’s career goals in Academic Medicine, at least 500 words (no more than 650).
- Curriculum Vitae
- Transcript from applicant’s high school
- Transcript from applicant’s medical school
- Letter of recommendation from a faculty member of the medical school
Applicants must demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and motivation for careers in Academic Medicine, leadership activities, and community involvement.
The competition level of this scholarship is medium because it is a national scholarship without many application requirements.
