Overview

The AGC Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship is awarded by the Association General Contractors of America to students enrolled in an ABET or ACGE accredited program at a participating university. Applicants must be a second-year student at a two-year school planning to transfer to a four-year program in the Fall of 2017 OR a sophomore, junior, or rising senior in a four/five year program. Earliest graduation date for consideration is December 2017. Applicants must also be pursuing a Bachelors of Science in construction or construction related engineering with a desire for a career in the construction industry. Students must be a US citizen or a permanent resident of the United States with a minimum GPA of 2.0.

Award Amount     

The award amount for this scholarship is $2500. Renewable for up to 3 years of undergraduate study

Requirements     

Applicant is responsible for ensuring that all of the following items are submitted by midnight EST November 1, 2016 (grace period is allowed for evaluations ONLY until November 7, 2016):
1. Completed Application.
2. Evaluation form completed (online) by college faculty member.
3. Evaluation form completed (online) by an employment supervisor.
4. Official or unofficial transcript of college grades. Unofficial transcripts are accepted if they clearly indicate the academic instituation and student’s name. Text versitions cut and pasted from the school’s web site ARE NOT acceptable.

Competition Level     

This scholarship earns a medium competition level rating. Scholarships with a medium competition level usually are well-known within the geographic area. In addition, national scholarships that limited to a small group of students will also earn a medium competition rating. If you meet the reqirements, we suggest you work this into the mix of scholarships that you are applying to.
